Greetings and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I have searched high and low and have had 3 installers working on this issue, and the folks here seem very helpful and intelligent, so here I am.

2002 Saturn Vue

JVC KD-AVX1 receiver

Pair of legacy LCD visors.

I recently purchased 2 replacement LCD visors for my vehicle. After they got installed, they would only power on periodically. One day, both would turn on, the next day one would, and not the other, then vica versa the next car start....

When the vehicle is started (2002 Saturn Vue) using a volt meter shows power and ground are fine. If you simply unplug the visor dongle (bout a foot from it, a little ps2 type connector) and plug it back it, it will turn on. If you power one of them straight to a accessory or cigarette adapter, it always works as well.
Also, if you just turn the key to accessory, they always work.

It seems to be when the key goes from accessory to engine crank, they lose power and then get it back and this is what causes the problem.

The shop that installed them sent them back and had them replaced but the new ones do this as well. I also have noticed that if I turn the key fast enough for it not to be effected by the accessory posistion, they power on as well. Note: My JVC deck is hooked to this same wiring and doesnt have a problem. I am at my wits end here.

If anyone can solve this, it would be the group here, or in the very least please offer suggestions that I possibly have not thought of yet.

Thanks again.

Where is the power tapped off from.  You might want to run the power wire from the visors to the radio deck.
