I have heard that to install a ceiling monitor, you must use a plate. If I cannot screw the monitor housing into the roof (since it will go right through),  how do I screw the plate in? and what is the purpose of the plate? I have installed a monitor into a Chevy Venture and just screwed the housing into the center cross-beam. Any info would be appreciated.

I also would like to know where I can get info on installing headrest monitors. I made one attempt on a junked headrest and screwed the thing up.

Thanx

Thanks very much for the info. The problem I had with the headrest that I practiced on was that  the foam was not thick enough to allow room for the monitor housing, and cutting the plastic behind it  would have left no support at all within the headrest. The download was still a help just to know that I wasn't totaly off-track ( if not totaly on)
