Problem:
After installing my AVIC-z1, my keyless entry remote won't work for a short while after turning off my car. the remote's transmitting light comes on and when I come back to the car 15 minutes later it works fine. But for at least a few minutes after I turn off the car, the remote is useless -- it will not lock or unlock the doors.
WTF?

just curious does it do it with both remotes? possibly a dead battery on the remote.

Well, since the remote's transmitting light comes on, and always works the rest of the time, and this is happening right after my Z1 install, I figured it has something specifically to do with the z1.
But that's a fair test to rule out the transmitter.
In the mean time, any other ideas?
