Are all IR Headphones universal?

I have a directed 15" LCD monitor in my car and it came with 2 IR headphones. I'd like to buy some additional headphones and see generic ones on ebay for $15. Does anyone know if IR headphones are interchangable or if they use a universal standard?

most IR headphones are interchangeable. Some of them have dual channels, but usually channel A will work.
