Can anyone tell me how to connect a 12v dvd player to an Add-a-Circuit fuse. Or what ways are there to powering an in car dvd player without using a cigaretter lighter?

Solder in a 10 or 12 guage power wire from your ignition wire, run it to where your components will be mounted and then you can series in a few other things like a monitor, EQ, or other power source.  Make sure to utilize fuse holders with the proper respective ratings.

You can just hard wire the dvd player.  Easiest way would be to cut the cigarette lighter adapter ,being careful to seperate the wires if they are not already marked, and test the plug in side to find out which wire is positive and which wire is negative.  Take the negative and ground it and then wire the positive to a source of power, depending when you would like it to come on.  You could connect it to an acc wire or wire it to a switch that has a fused constant 12V.  As for going through the fuse box, it would be a little too much trouble in newer vehicles.
