i am installing an avic-n3 in my 2001 gmc sierra and wanted to know were to find the " speed signal wire "??

On the 4.3L, the VSS wire is at pin 3 in the connector labeled black. On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the VSS wire is located in pin 50 of the red connector. |

Use the GREEN / WHITE at the instrument cluster.

i found that there are 2 GREEN / WHITE wires behind the gauge cluster, but i traced it down to the right one.. i hope..

The correct one is in the third cavity next to the white wire.

there also may be one in the radio harness if your deck has SVC
