I have a jensen CD/DVD player with LCD screen and I am planning on purchasing a CD player (probably an Alpine).  The jensen i have does not have the quality sound and options I am looking for in a source unit so i am wondering how i would wire them together.  I would like to use the Jensen DVD player for just dvds but run all the sound through the Alpine unit and then to the speakers.  Wouldn't I need the Jensen unit to have an auxilury output and not an input?  The Jensen unit has 2 inputs and no outputs, while the Alpine I'm looking at has 1 input and no outputs.

It is a jensen VM9510.  I'll read off of one of the installation sheets that came with it.  It has all the ussual speaker wires, four RCA wires for two amps, and battery and ignition wires.  It has a dedicated DVD output for an optional rear screen.  A center output, which i don't know what this is.  Another seperate Subwoofer output.  Two sets of AV inputs, a video out wire. and a wire that routes to the tv tuner. And that is it.  I hope someone can help me with this. Thanks in advance

oh and about putting my money into something nice.  I got it for free from my brother.  He wanted to upgrade so he gave it to me for a gift.  I'm just trying to work something out so i only have to use it for dvd's.  It is not currently installed in my car but i have heard it in my brother's bmw.  once he put in his new pioneer unit it sounded much better so i know it wasn't just the complex speaker arrangements in his car.  I usually won't put any off-brand products in my car but it was a gift so i figured i'd give it a try.  I am trying to get it in my new car as soon as possible though because i know with it being a manual car it will keep me happy for the time being with no music, but not for long.

I think i realized why everyone is so confused by this.  I can just use the subwoofer outputs, can't I? I seriously thought they had a seperate output just for connecting to a seperate CD Player. I feel stupid.  thanks anyways everyone
