Hey everyone,

I have a few questions regarding the use of relays. Here is my setup (2) 5" raw LCD screens mounted in my headrests. Right now they are wired inline with a switch ( power from battery goes thru the switch then to the TV's) my problem with this setup is that they seem to not be getting enough power. is this possible and would a relay fix this? If so can you help me with what should be connected to which pins on the relay?

THanks in advance

Hey Mike, the problem you have sounds odd to me. If the power going to the screens tests 12 - 14 volts, that's all you can do for them. Normally , screens do not have a very high current draw. What guage wire do you have going to the screens ? Is the power wire that you have connected straight to the battery or is it connected off another fused connection ?

it is off another fused connection. I guess I should try connecting them directly off the battery or trying a larger guage wire. I will let u guys know how it goes thanks for the input

Please make sure you fuse this connection if you are going to be running it staright to the battery. Use a 5 - 7.5 amp fuse just in case.
