I have a avic-n2 installed in a 2005 camry. I have to take it out for a reason. Can someone let me know how to pull it out without scratching the unit or the dash kit.

thanks

You should beable to use to flat head screw drivers and slide the mon each side of the unit. Do not jam them in there. Slide them in about an 1 1/2 inch. It should release the clips.

Try to use plastic panel poppers, I'd never recommend using a flathead screwdriver on a dash.

Neither option will work for you.  The avic actually screws into the mounting cage.  What you'll have to do is remove the trim ring.  That just pops off.  then you'll see 2 small phillips screws on each side.  remove those and make sure you have a magnet handy the screws have a tendency of falling.  Once all 4 are out you can slide the radio forward.  If you're thinking of bypassing the video lockout remember it's illegal in pretty much every state to have video dispalyed in view of the driver.
