I am currently running a Jensen DVD/CD Player through an Alpine CD player. I have the outputs of the jensen dvd player plugged into the alpine cd player. When i have the alpine cd player just playing it sounds fine. But when i try to run the sound from the jensen dvd player through the alpine cd player i can barely hear it. I have to put the dvd player on maximum volume to hear it at all and the sound becomes staticy when it tries playing a deep tone like the sound of a car or basically anything from an action movie. It always plays quiet and absolutely no sound will come from my subwoofers. I dont know if any of this is normal but any help would be greatly appreciated if anyone else has dealt with these problems before or if you just have any ideas as to what it could be.

u may need new rca cables. take the headunit out and play a movie and see if you get the samething. If u do then Its the dvd player.

How do you have it connected to the Alpine? Are you using a AI-bus adapter, or is it just plugged into RCA plugs on the back of the head unit? It sounds like you may be using one of the outputs as an input.

i am using an AI-Bus adapter i bought seperate. and i am plugging that into the outputs for the subwoofer on the jensen because it doesn't have any other output.

An idea would be to buy a Turbo1 from PAC to advance the gain...
