those cars suck, ive done about 5 overheads with no problem as long as you catch the right power source(i learned the hard way). Where are you catching the accessory wire, cause thats the only thing Ive seen that would cause the battery draining or the car to act weird. As tempting as it looks dont catch power from the main fuse box, I think I tried every fuse in there with and without a relay and none of them seem suitable, they work at first, but not for long. Either the car begins to studder, the lights dim, all types of weird shananagans. I always catch my power from the fuse box near the brake pedal.

We've done at least a hundred of the new bodystyle trucks and have had no problems. I think they are pretty esay myself. We use the wires from the original domelight for the new domelight, just like always. As for poer for the unit, we add a relay to the accessory wire on the keyswitch....

Pretty much the same as Mike we just tap off the original domelight wires, and haven't had any reported problems. And for main power the relay off the accessory is the same as we do, you MUST use a relay if tapping off the ign wires. Try running the power and ground for your domelight seperately and only using the OEM domelight wiring for the trigger itself. Good luck,
Mike

Waht DVD are you using? Is it designed to work with a positive triggered dome light?

Where did you get your accessory power wire? I used the yellow wire that goes into the back of the stereo to power up a relay then I got my main power from the main power wire used for the fuse box by the drivers door. I am having problems with it working consistently. It causes my dash lights to flicker and my stereo sound quits even if I unplug the relay.

There is no accessory wire on the back of the radio. I believe the yellow wire is a data wire....
