As you people being the experts I am asking for a little advice.

I have had the Alpine CVA-1004 for quite a few years. I have the alpine expansion box as well so hooking other video inputs would not be a problem. I am wondering if they make a fairly priced aftermarket nave that I could just plug in to my video inputs and run it off of my existing head unit. The unit does not need to be alpine and I am not looking to spent the 1K+ for the NVE attachment as you can get the handhelds for about 250.00 now. Any ideas or brands/model numbers that you can give would be most helpfull.

Thank you

Kenwood makes a navigation drive that's compatible with any system. Last time I checked it was around $600.
