I'm having a difficult time locating the VSS.  It's not behind the instrument cluster nor the radio harness (I have the basic stock stereo).  I'm trying to install an Avic-D1 nav system.  I read the VSS might be located at the PCM, but where is it?

Thanks everyone!

VSS WIRE Gray/black Behind instrument panel   AC
This is where ALL my data says this VSS wire is located...

Unfortunately there's no gray/blk wire on this vehicle nor the PCM.  I also checked every pin on the instrument cluster with a multimeter and still no VSS.  I read elsewhere, the speed signal is encoded on a data feed on these Fords.

Any other suggestions?

Speed Sense gray/black    PCM, pin 68
Notes: The PCM is on the passenger side firewall, under the hood.

If the vehicle has cruise control it can also be found at the cruise servo.
