finished most of he install. found he stock location for the gps antenna. under the front portion of the dash to the right of the light sensor. remove the two pillar pannels and pop up the front part of the dash. so far, unit is working flawless. still need to hook-up in the vss wire. found the location of the vss wire. also added the pac eclp steering wheel adaptor. 5 of the 6-7 functions work. volume +/-, seek +/-, and source. no mute and band.

The PAC interface will only add 5 of the functions (the ones you listed), no additional.. Unfortunately. :(

VSS Wire -- Location: ECM (located in engine compartment, drivers side, near radiator) Black 72 pin plug, the pin number is 57, the pin location may or may not have a Yellow w/ Black wire in it. If it doesn't, insert a wire /w pin.

Backup Wire -- Location: BCM (Body Control Module) (located near steering column, left side) on second connector from top(white), Pin 22, Dark Blue wire.

The easiest place to get VSS is under the hood. On the left fender is the fuse box, under it are two large harnesses coming out towards the motor. The harness closest to the firewall, there's a GREEN / WHITE. The yellow/black listed in most tech sheets never works right. I usually put my antenna dead center of the dash. The center vents pop out and you can reach over them and stick it ontop of the duct.

04 Suburban, remove the instrument cluster, it's the GREEN / WHITE on the plug...

there are actually 3 GREEN / WHITE wires behind the cluster. all are exactly the same color (kinda forrest green w / white stripe) going to 3 different pins. is the any way to narrow them down?

Connect a DVM and roll the car with the key on. You'll get a pulse as it moves. It may also be at the radio harness if it has a highend Lux...
