I bought headrest and sunvisor monitors for my 2002 Lexus IS300 off of the internet and took them to a local car electronics shop to get them installed. To say the least, I was taken for a ride. Basically, it s not an option for me to return to these scam artists ( billing my credit card for amounts above what was agreed upon) ever again. When I overlooked the work, all 4 monitors plus the Pioneer AVIC-N2 were displaying perfectly. When I got home, though, the rear passsenger headrest monitor was completely dead. After about 20 mins. it came back on. Over the past 3 weeks it would intermittantly shut off and back on every 20 mins. or so. 3 days ago, the monitor shut off, only to never come back on. I dont have a clue as to what the problem may be. Has anyone experienced this before? Is there anything I can do? I would appreciate any help anybody could give me. Thanks.

its a loose connection in the wiring. Follow the wire that goes out the bottom of the seat to where it connects with the pioneer N2 and see if the RCA's are loose. If not, check to see if the connection to 12v power is loose.

Some shops really take people that bring stuff in of the net for a ride. and most won't back up their work, with reason of warrenty issues. sorry to see that happen to ya. if you have 12v and the RCAs are ok, pop out the headrest monitor and look at the small plug in the back, wires pinch and the connector sometimes will come loose. or they may have jammed or broken a pin on the connector..
