Hi everyone...
My team and I are planning on building a concept vehicle for promotional use. One idea for the vehicle is to use preferably electrochromic tint to hide a couple of monitor screens until they are needed. Does anyone know where to get a hold of some. We are just looking to cover 2 - 7" monitors.
For those who don't already know, Electrochromic tint/glass is also known as "smart glass", "privacy glass", "auto tint", etc. They are special films/glass that are solid until a current is applied to them, then they become transparent. It has been seen on pump my ride too if you want to look it up.
Thank you so much for anyone who can find it.

Might want to get ahold of someone over at SageGlass (https://www.sage-ec.com) and see if they can lead you in the right direction. More popular in house windows at this point aside from rear view mirrors in cars I think MB is the only one using it on windows and that's only on their limos. Regardless even for a small application it's not gonna be cheap.
You could just turn the monitors off until you need them? I mean put them behind some smoked plexi or normally tinted windows and you won't see them until you turn them on. Similar effect I would think.

We've thought about that, but it doesn't go with what we want with the vehicle. We found a company that is currently developing it, and has offered to let us be one of their first customers. Unfortunately I cannot divulge the information about it, but I believe we are fine now. However, you are right about one thing. It isn't cheap ($200 sq/ft until further notice)
