visors are good. and fairly simple. anyplace on top of the dash, motorized out of the top of the dash, in the spot where the passenger airbag is....that is if ur state wont fail you for inspection with the tv there, in the steering wheel, etc .your imagination is endless, it just all depends on how drastic you want to do

I'm working on a similar project for my A4. What I am thinking is if I move the digital A/C controls to somewhere else maybe in the center console then there is plenty of room for probably a 7" monitor or a double din nav unit (which is what I'm looking at) and if you also relocate the hazard switch fog lights and defroster (maybe the glove box) then there may even be room for a 10" as I am only interested in the double din I haven't looked at that much plus I think it would look a lot cooler than the visors but if you are just looking for a simple quick way to get a monitor in the front then visors all the way.

Just a word to the wise for any video screen installation: remember that it is illegal in the USA to operate a video screen in view of the driver when a car is in motion.  I don't know about elsewhere but here in California the crack down on video screens is rumored to begin with the crack down on cell-phone usage when it becomes illegal to use a cell phone without a hands-free device in a moving vehicle on July 1 2008.

its already illegal to be on the phone while driving in texas.  cops will nail you about the video screen here as well...when they feel like doing the paperwork

I'm near Houston, and I haven't heard of that law in Tx. I hope it never gets to that. What are they going to do about someone with a burger or burrito in their hand. Or a map or something in their hand. Back when I had a "mobile" phone with the hands-free microphone and all, it was just as distracting with just talking on the phone whether i had my hand up to my ear or not. I think with hands-free becoming law that will just free up that hand to be able to hold something more distracting like a newspaper or a beer- ooops-that is illegal.    well, back to work   Jim
