Sorry not too much info on this one kinda short notice, but anyway my buddy has an old apline dvd player and i assume also an alpine head unit. he's got a moniter in the dash for it. the connects on the dvd  player are pretty straight foward for the video, but how can i get the audio to play through the stock speakers. it just has the two female output jacks on the back and the head unit doesn't have input jacks.also he doesn't just want to straight up add an amp.i know it's probably something simple but could ya help me out...still a rookie and see a lot of new situations.   Thanks

If it's the DVA-5200 then you have to have a master unit to control the DVD player. It is not a stand alone unit that can operate on it's own.
