There is a universal type iPod bypass but it doesn't allow for charging or for display. It's a PAC Part Number: IC-AV module. This will allow for audio RCA output and video out put as well. The deck has to have a audio input jack for RCA's and use the Eclipse backup camera input for video.

hey thanks for the quick reply. much appreciated. i just have a few more quesitons. so when i hook an ipod up with this cable, any song info will not appear on the display as with other adapters? Also, do I need any other equipment to hook this to the eclipse? and where can i buy it.

Thanks again.

i just wanted to let you know that i took apart my unit and saw in the back a 6 pin jack. i looked this up in the owners manual and said that this is used to connect to external video equipment, such as a VTR.  its not the video output (which is separate). on one end is the 6 pin connector and on the other are three cables, which I think are RCA cables. can i use these three cables and connect them to the item in the link i posted above to get the video from the ipod? thanks again and sorry for all tehse posts.

btw, where can i get this 6 pin connecting cable. it says it included, but the dealer i had it installed at didnt include it and its not in the box.
