I am installing a JVC nx-5000 and need to locate the vss wire. Please help me to find the color and location of this wire.

Thanks!

I don't see anything for 2000 but 2001 is green in the radio harness.

I have accounted for all the wires in the radio wire harness and don't believe a speed sensor wire is in this harness. My wiring diagram shows that it could be a y/r wire possibly coming off the ECM Engine Control Module. However I do not find a y/r wire in the terminal 3 position. It does have cruise control so I know it has a Vehicle speed sensor wire.

Has anyone done this install on a 2000 Volvo S40?

the other option is going to the back of the instrument cluster and look for the wire you were trying to find at the ecm.

PIN B15  Yellow /red behind the cluster , Also pin B4 is green if the wire is there that is tha wire that goes to the radio harness.

The yellow / red wire can also be found at other location one of them Being easy to reach at the ECC Control Module A/C contol assembly)  yellow/red pin 4

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.
