But how do i get power to the ps2? Like where should i tap into? Also what kind of inverter do i need and where could i buy one?

If you dont care to use up your cig lighter spot then by one of those small invertors(like 75 watt) and run your ps/2 plug right to it and plug it in there, yes thats a bit tacky but the fastest way. Or get one of those invetors that have about a foot of cord attached to the cig. lighter adapter, cut off the cig part and hard wire the thing ideally right to the battery and add a light up toggle switch to turn it on/off, or to a switched ignition wire so its on and off by itself, then you can mount the invertor out of sight below or behind the dash, get the invertor with a built in fan so it will stay cool in a tight space.  you can grab these invertors at your local Big Box store no problem. Does this help ya at all?

I used a inverter. I hard wired it to my cig lighter and made a switch for it. I put the inverter under my back seat.

the way i did it i ran with a relay with the ignition switch being my trigger and ran a 30 amp fuse to power my inverter. i did that so i dont forget that it is on and kill my battery when im not using it. but be careful that theres not alot of rug that'll choke your invertor fan.

For your PS2 make sure that your inverter outputs at least 75 watts continously. Any lower and you'll brownout the power pack.

Or you could get a power invertor and and hard wire to your fuse box (use a curcit that requires the car to be in accessory mode )and u should be good to go. So when the car is off so is the ps2
