hey guys installed this bad boy on a 2006 toyota solara convertible friday night. the customer went to vegas for the long holiday weekend he set his distination in barstow to an address in vegas came up fine but when he got on the 15 freeway a couple minutes later the nav voice guidance told him to exit the freeway. he proceeded on the 15 freeway and the nav went back to normal giving him correct voice guidance. now coming back from vegas near barstow the nav voice guidance told him to take another freeway. the customer lives in whittier but why did the nav have those two gliches? is it because the mountains in barstow, this made the gps antenna lose the satellite signal?love the unit only thing I dislike is sometimes the map cd needs to be inserted eventhough it is stored in the radios memory.thanks in advance.
Well first thing is to make sure you set all the settings in the maps menu. Like not avoid tolls or ferries or highways. Also set the fastest route. The nav settings have to be set , may be the custumer was playing with it and changed the settings
