Can I use a KENWOOD KVT-815 dvd player/screen without the brain. Instead just connect another auto dvd player to it and just what movies. Thanks guys.

Just how would you connect another dvd player to it?

There aren't RCA's on the back of the in dash unit. Tt has a proprietary plug that only communicates with the hideaway unit.

The dvd player is in the dash unit anyways.

I'm fairly certain you need the whole deal. Consider it a "security feature". Try ebay, maybe someone is selling a brain.
