So if you want to change out your factory radio to an aftermarket screen, you can retain the video in the factory overhead.  Take an RCA wire cut it at splice it into the brown harness pin 5 (Dark Green (+)) and pin 17 (WHITE/ Black (-)).   Connect the video out  from the aftermarket screen to the spliced RCA wire, and any dvd you put into the aftermarket unit  will play on your factory overhead, even without the parking brake engaged ( video playing on the overhead is legal, even if the car is in motion). Heads up, you will loose the factory headphones when you take out the factory radio.

You should really tell people what kind of car you are referring to(it's GM trucks)....

PAC makes a harness, GMRVD that is plug and play when used in conjuntion with the OS3 or OS3bose.
This setup retains RSE and headphones.
