I am sure that if you have an audio, nav, or some issue other than watching a DVD while going down the road, that would be allowed.

Topics about the AVIC heads are of course allowed. Topics with instructions on bypassing the safety locks on any DVD player are not, so when the question gets asked the topic gets locked. So where do you live where you think it is legal? ------------- Support the12volt.com

As far as the motorhome example goes, I thought that if you hooked up an external monitor the dvd played through that monitor, just not the one on the unit itself.

I agree you have a valid argument regarding the installation of this unit in a motor home and your frustrations have been noted, however your lack of understanding this site's position regarding the ban on promoting video bypasses in general as a safe and legal practice still doesn't warrant many of your comments. There's an old saying that still holds true... "You'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar."
That being said, what did Pioneer tell you when you contacted them? If they were unwilling to help you, what were their reasons? Or have you even tried contacting them?
BTW, who ever sold this unit to this customer should have explained that these navigation features can not be accessed while driving and should have sold the customer a different navigation unit if these features were so desirable while driving.
