I'm considering buying one of those generic double din DVD players on Ebay, but was wondering if anyone has experience with quality or reliability issues? I actually like the idea of the generic ones not having all the flashy buttons and designs on the outside, I'm going for a factory look. They sell from less than $200-$250 for a non touch-screen, and it seems like that might be worth a try.

you get what you pay for, I would seriously suggest checking out some nice ddin tvs at you local audio shop, online, etc and possibly talk with someone who wants to help you find the product that you really want.It would save you the time and money checking out all the options VS buying something based on price and what you THINK you want, and being screwed later down the road w/ something your unhappy with that you cant return.etc.etc

A lot of people will say they are junk.  Granted their not an high end model, but I've had one for about 6 months and its been fine.  The sound quality is actually very good.  Mine is a Boss model.  I am replacing it however, only reasons being is I don't particulary care for the menu setup on them and I want a built in Nav system.  For the money they are pretty good.
