Are you trying to play cd-r or cd-rw? My deck will play a cd-r with no problem but it won't play a cd-rw at all. Your best bet would to be to buy a single high quality cd-r and burn it at a slow rate, if you deck will play it, then use the same procedure for your other burnt discs.
