pe swican steering wheel controls

any one here had any luck using the chrysler dodge can-bus interface from peripheral? 

im using the pe-swican and pe-swips in 2 different cars and both will crap out on me once or twice a month.  in the manuals the can-bus adapter says it can be used stand alone or with the chya05 interface.  the chya05 gives you vss, rev, and illumination and also interfaces with the premium sound in these cars.  I however have full systems in both cars so i dont need any kind of interface. 

when they crap out they simply lose programming and all i have to do i dissasemble the dash. unplug box and plug back in then reprogram and everything works swell! till about 2 weeks later.

peripheral simply suggested i buy the chya05!  thats another 100 dollar piece in order to make 200 dollars worth of steering wheel controls to work! i think not.      

has anyone else had problems with these? i will never buy or sell one ever again

so anyone used one of these yet?
