hey all,

I'm pretty new to XM and sirius radio. I have a alpine CVA-1005 HU and i'm wondering what my options are for sat radio. Is there really no way for text display of songs and artist, since its not sat radio ready? I'm also thinking the XM modules would have to have RCA connections that would connect to my 1005 brain.

I'm not a big fan of the additional external display but is that my only option?

Any models I should look into?

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

As little I do remember about the 1005, you will have to use a sat radio with a display and control buttons.  I haven't seen a stand alone unit with RCA outs.  They all have a stereo 1/8 inch headphone jack.  You can get an adaptor to go from this to 2 RCAs from Radio Shack.
