Okay, this should be fairly simple for someone. I bought and installed a Kenwood DDX-8019 in dash 7 inch monitor with DVD. The problem I have currently is locating the best location for the reverse sensor wire. In the future I want to add navigation and a camera to it. The safety wire for the brake I read can be grounded to bypass it. As far as the navigation goes is there any other wires I need to find down the road like the vehicle speed sensor or something?

Typically, the reverse sensor input can be found running to the rear of the vehicle, underneath the runningboard or in the kick panel. As far as the navigation setup goes, the Kenwood Nav addon (KNA-G510) does not require a VSS wire connection. It requires, +12V Constant. +12V Switched, Ground, and a Parking Brake (-) input.

Thanks for the replay...now I kinda wonder why it needs to know the parking brake status. LOL but I can wait until I get it I suppose.

Do you know if the parking brake input is just a safety feature of some sort, like the dvd display? Or does it do something else for the nav?
