I am working on removing the gauge cluster to hook up an Eclipse AVN2454 navigation system and can't find the bottom 2 screws to remove the dash cluster. I already have the top 2 screws removed. Can someone please describe where to find them? I heard to find the screws behind the rubber under the steering wheel shroud, but still couldn't find them.

My understanding is that the VSS wire is yellow/blue behind the cluster. Is the reverse wire behind the cluster also or only GREEN / WHITE in the driver's kick panel?

Any help will be great. Thanks.

I am pretty sure that the VSS wire is in the radio harness.  It is there for the mid-line radio, it should be there for the nav unit.

Thanks for the reply. My basic 2.5s harness didn't have the VSS wire in the harness.

I thought I tapped the blue/white wire behind the gauge cluster correctly, but get a "CHECK SPEED PULSE" message whenever navigation is used. Any ideas?

The bottom two screws are buried under the guages in that crack. You need a long pillips driver and you can get them out...
