Subject: No Video Input?

I installed a monitor in my car and when I plug a video input in nothing shows on the screen. I know the monitor works and I am very clueless to why this is. Can anyone give me advise?

Not trying to insult your intelligence but are the 12 volt wires hooked up? Another thing, some monitors have a parking brake (or side brake) wire that must see ground for the monitors to show the picture. Check this and see if it applies to your problem. Brian

Yes, the 12 volt wires are hooked up and the tv does turn on, just no input is going to it. I took a portable tv out to my car and the playstation does work on it.

Did you check to see if the rca's had been pinched or shorted somewhere. The first thing that I would recommend would be to pull the monitor and test it outside of the car and see if it still works. If it works then there is a problem with the rca's video feed, if it doesn't then the monitor went bad.

See thats what is weird, I know the playstation and the rca cables work because it works on a different portable TV. I even wired the monitor to the battery to see if maybe I had a bad ground, but still no video is shown. The monitor does work outside the car because the store I bought it from tested it with a DVD player and it worked. I have installed lots of things in my cars but this one stumps me.
