Some time today I plan on installing a new head unit in my car. The head unit is an ACTHU4100 it has 2 wires that I'm not 100% on; a "reverse-in" wire and a "brake-in" wire. An educated guess would say that the 'reverse-in' wire would be for a camera? And I'm guessing the 'brake-in' wire is for the security feature. I don't want to bypass it but I would like to know if I attached other screens would they display while the car was in motion? Secondly if I added a NAV would it display via an auxillary input while the car was in motion. And finally where would I connect the 'brake-in' wire on my 98 Grand Cherokee Laredo?

The other screens will display video while driving. The park brake wire should be located at the park brake switch at the park brake (-). You are correct on the reverse wire, and it can be connected to the reverse light wire.

Thanks for the information... After making the initial connection the screen worked without the pink wire being connected to anything. Now it seems like my biggest problems seems to be my installation kit. My head unit has a 1.5 din display with a 1 din chasis. The installation kit does not allow the faceplate to make contact with the head unit. Any suggestions?

Metra kit 99-6501 does come with a spacer that may solve your problem. or you may just have to use a little enginuity. Good luck , hop i was of some help.
