I would use 2 relays to wire START WIRE and COLD START wire together with the starter wire comes from the remote start unit if it has only 1 start wire. Someone advised me to short both START wire and COLD START wire together and then hook them to the STARTER wire at the remote start unit, but I did not do this way for 2 reasons: first, I may overload the remote start unit, second, Nissan made these 2 wires separated for a certain reason, we should not change its design.( if you try the 2nd way, let me know if everything OK). * I used 2 diodes(1A) connecting cathodes together, anodes 1 for door unlock wire, 1 for OEM arlarm disarm wire and then hook the door unlock wire from the aftermarket arlarm unit to the cathodes side after wired this wire thru a relay for overload protection. * I used a 12V DPDT relay ( rated 5A at 125 VAC ) to power both head- -light wires(driver and passenger sides). I don't know why Nissan made these 2 wires separated but I rather keep it that way instead of short both wires together ( if anyone know please enlight me ) * I used a 12V SPDT relay to change the polarity of the trunk release wire at the arlarm unit from (-) to (+) and to protect the arlarm unit from being overloaded. * I heard that models from 89 to 94 have similar wiring color codes.
