Hello,
I just recently bought a PPI PC21400 amp. The amp is rated:
300 WRMS X 2 @ 4 ohms per channel
700 WRMS X 2 @ 2 ohms per channel
1400 WRMS X 1 @ 4 ohms per channel.
I don't understand the ohms. I have been trying to search on here and found a little. I'm confused on the ohms of the amp and how they relate to the speakers I am going to be running. If I have a 4 ohm Dual Voice Coil speaker how can I use to channels and get the 700 watt x 2 channel? Would it be best to bridge the amp and run one channel and run the speakers in parallel? I have been out of the car audio scene and I am getting back in. I would appreciate any help.

Realistically, you should be running a mono amp with your setup. Series your voice coils. positve from coil one to negative of coil two. Take the negative from coil one and the positve of coil two and hook it up to the bridged outputs on the amp. This will give you a 8 ohm load the when you bridge the channels the amp splits the ohm load for each channel and see a four ohm load.
