OK installers, this time it's me asking for help. I just purchased a 2006 Mitsubishi Outlander with the standard OEM head and 6.5" speakers. In a week or so I'll be making the change over to a real system and need to know if there are any tricks to pulling the HU or if it's as straight-forward as it looks, and is it a normal DIN mount or do I need a dash adapter? The 2006 is pretty much unchanged from the 2004-05 model.
Thanks in advance!

I never thought I'd see the day! You asking a question, albeit be it one I can't answer either.
Congrats on the purchase! And good luck on the install. I start a new install job tomorrow so you could just bring it to me

Thanks! I always ask the pros when I need information. I just thought if any one out there installing for a living knew any tricks to this little truck, I want to know them too!

I ended up going to a shop an asked because I have a Honda CRV and there was a hidden screw that was holding my deck in that I was not able to see until I took of he glove box an the hole under side of my center instument pannel the one under the ash tray.
That was after an hour of looking on my own as to what was going on with it. It looked real simple and I have done many cars for freinds and that was a real supprize when I was not able to pull it out on my own and it took a installer at the shop to tell me what I needed to remove. Then it went very simple.
Hey DYohn, here's a pdf. version of how to remove the 2004+ Outlander dash. Good luck.
