I have a 1993 Audi 80, and have recently installed a pioneer head unit, the car's stock radio/cassette player was able to run whith the car totally off and the keys not in the ignition. So, I installed my head unit myself (experienced don't worry, I know what I am doing), but have had to wire the 12V constant from the head unit with the ignition wire together with the 12V constant from the car. It works fine but I want my system to come on with the ignition, i have had a bit of a fiddle around with the ignition, but it is not very accessible to run a new wire and my dash as a big job to take off as it is almost totaly one peice from one side to the other. I was hoping I would be able to use an existing wire? or is anyone familiar with this model of car? how hard is it to run a new wire from the ignition? Thanks in advance

Have you tried the black ignition wire at the ignition switch? There's also a BLACK / YELLOW acc at this same location but it might work like the acc at the radio . . . it's a start.

Use the one that gives 12v+ at the ON position.

I do and it's many pages. If you need a paricular schematic let me know and I'll try to get it to you on a "need" basis.
