I was wondering if the tach source on this module is reliable or shouild i just connect to the tach source in the vehicle?2010 jetta and scytek r/s.

Here is a post from 2008.  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=107177  In it, there is a refference to the Fortin CAN SL2 Tach output from a highly respected forum member.  I use iDatalink ( with no Tach issues ) and have not tried the CAN SL2 myself.

that's what i figured.the car was starting fine then all of the sudden it's losing the tach signal,getting the car back tomorrow so i will re-connect the tach sense wire to the tach wire in the car.Thanks!
