Adding a Door Switch

Hello all,

Thanks to help previously, I successfully installed a CS-2016FM Alarm. Now I want to add a door switch so I can lock the doors without arming the car.

I did a bit of research, but if I'm wrong please let me know.

This the exact wiring diagram I used to wire the door locks.

I believe this is the type of wiring I need to do. I believe I can simply run these negative output wires to the lines coming off the 30's on the alarm's car locking relays, or basically the wires that go too the door lock actuators.

I think this is the type of switch I'd need with the above wiring digram for adding a switch.

If any of this is wrong, please let me know. As far as I can tell, it all looks right, but looks can be deceiving.

Ok, go buy a single three position switch or door lock switch(replacement), you can get them at checker or any other autoparts store. Then wire it to pass a ground. Then take one of the outputs and tie it into the blue wire coming off of the alarm and the other to the green wire coming off of the alarm. Autoparts stores have factory looking switches that you can install. Don't make it more difficult than it has to be.

So in theory I could just use the stereo ground? The switch will be in the center console, I don't want to wire more than one switch.

The type of switch would be SPDT? An unobtrusive up/down switch is what I'm looking for, since it'll sit right in the middle.

Sorry to bump, just wanted to verify that this would be a "momentary SPDT (On-Off-On)". I want to buy toggle switches rather than regular door locks.
