I need to trigger a relay with a momentary ground pulse that will keep the relay energized for just 1 or 2 seconds...., then do nothing until the next ground pulse.

Is there an easy way to do this using just a relay/capacitor/resistor/diodes?

A diagram would be helpful. None of the standard drawings cover my exact application.

How much current capacity does your momentary trigger provide.  If it is capable of charging a 4700 microfarad capacitor, you can easily do this with the cap mentioned and a diode.  If your output is from some kind of controller, you may need to add a transistor, but still easily done.

Sounds like he's looking to stretch a momentary input pulse, not applying a constant input, e.g. 100ms pulse input to a 2 second relay closure per pulse.
It'd need a driver circuit to implement if so, a relays only setup won't do.
Prior post with a similar requirement.
