Hi everyone. I have a '98 Ford Contour SVT with what I believe to be negative door triggers. I like the idea of the stereo continuing to run after the ignition is turned off and the key is removed, until a door opens. However, I would like to modify the operation of the configuration. I found this diagram here on the site to start with:
https://www.the12volt.com/relays/relaydiagram30.html
Rather than just the stereo staying on, I would like ALL accessories on the factory ACC circuit (if possible) to stay active. Or at least the stereo and power windows.
Also, I would like to include a timer in the circuit somehow. If the ignition is turned of and xx amount of minutes go by and the door has
not opened, I would like the timer to kill power returning back to the stereo and power windows (or the whole ACC circuit).
I found this timer relay, that is adjustable and seems like it might be great idea, I just can't determine how to include it in the circuit properly:

I'm not sure what can trigger the timer relay once the ignition is turned off, since the ACC wiring would have power looped back to it when the key gets turned to the OFF position.
Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated!

I also had come across this relay diagram below, pretty much doing what seems like the same thing as the first relay diagram I referenced, only this diagram uses 2 relays and no diodes. Not sure I understand how they differ, because there is too much going on in the first diagram for me to put my head around lol.
