Hey guys,
I can't for the life of me find an retained acc wire to use with an aftermarket head unit. I wound up using a normal acc wire but my uncle really wants the radio to stay on until the door is opeb.
Anyone have any ideas?

The vehicle has retained accessory already. I'm just looking for something to tap into.

Just a general tip (not vehicle specific), but check the power window circuit. If there's an accessible power window relay, you may be able to find a source there.

The cigarette lighter / power port near the radio should also be retained accessory.

There is apparently a relay under the radio for the power windows with a blue wire that is RAP. Cig lighter is 12v constant. Going to look for this relay this weekend. Wish me luck!

If the stock radio was retained acc then it’s this wire.
Radio Ignition
Wire Color Lt. Green or White
Polarity +
Wire Location Radio, white 20 pin plug, pin 7

I'll check this tomorrow. I used a metra wire harness. Everything else worked fine but this. I'll check that wire though tomorrow.
I can't wait to see if this power windows relay is really under the radio if that doesn't work out.
