I saw Kreg's guide in for 2020-2021 Kia Soul. Any chance some has access to and could share the 2019 Kia Soul Std Key wiring table similar to that wire table of CN1,CN2,CN3?

I have the CM900as and the Blade AL module, and have flashed the blade already. I think I understand the blade instructions.

Been searching far and wide to find this specific year and it seems to be nowhere.

My two main questions are:
1) What wires beyond the blade wires do I need to hook up? How do you determine which wires (beyond the main harness and blade harness wires) need to be connected when using Blade
2) It doesn't seem possible according to blade to have the compustar system arm/disarm the oem alarm, anyone know how to get that to work?

Thanks,

Cado

Hi Cado,

Sorry for the delay, I don't check this section too often. Good questions. I'll try to answer.

Follow the Blade install guide Type 7. You don't have a Clutch or Immobilizer so those wires aren't used. The CM900 has two fused +12V input wires - connect both. There is also a Black Chassis Ground wire to connect. The Horn wire is optional but you have the -AS system with a siren.

First, are you sure the Soul has a Factory Aalrm? Most Kia's and Hyundai's do but there is a bit of extra wiring necessary to control the Factory Alarm system.

Assuming you do have the Factory Alarm, here are the extra wires you need to locate.

OEM Alarm Disarm   PINK (UNLOCK) BROWN (LOCK DETECT) (-)   DASH FUSE BOX WHITE 16 PIN CONN, PINS 4 & 6
OEM Alarm Arm   PINK/BLACK (LOCK) BROWN (LOCK DETECT) (- & OPEN)   DASH FUSE BOX WHITE 16 PIN CONN, PINS 15 & 6

You will need three 1N4001 diodes and a DPST ( 5 pin ) relay with harness. To control the Factory Alarm, the CM900 will have to unlock the doors so you must set the CM900-AS to do a lock after remote start-up to secure the vehicle while under R/S. There is a program setting (1-1) to do an unlock before and lock after which will take care of that issue nicely. A simple Lock from the Compustar will also set the Factory Alarm. Of course the CM900-AS is also an alarm.

Here is the wiring :

CN3-2 Lock output - split wire - one wire goes to external relay Pin 85
-one wire goes to Soul Pink/Black Lock wire
     thru 1N4001 relay w/ band towards CM900
Relay wiring
Pin 85 to CM900 CN3-2 Blue/Green Lock output
Pin 86 to +12V constant
Pin 87 not used
Pin 87a to one side of cut Soul Brown Lock Detect wire
Pin 30 to other side of cut Soul Brown Lock Detect wire

CN3-3 Unlock Output - split wire - one wire goes to Soul Pink Unlock wire
   - one wire goes to Soul Brown Lock Detect wire
both wires have a 1N4001 diode w/ band towards CM900

-------------
Soldering is fun!
