ok never done any monitor installation in car, i have installs radios and stuff but am i bit confused here, got this KEC lsmd-104 10.4 dvd with fm transmitter and tv tuner built in, now i pulled my dome light out and the plug into domelight is a 3 cable and dc power cable coming out of tv is a 2 wires cable, a red and a black with a plug, does the tv can be powered from dome light wire or not if so how to do that, monitor came with a separated 15 feet power dc cable but im like if domelight cable is there why not power from there.also unit has a 4 wire harness cable to power the built in domelights in tv uni, im not sure what to do with that, instruction manual dont say much about installation,if some one can help me install this myself I would appreciate it a whole lot.
here is pictures of what a i got, first picture is wire attach to existing dome light ,2nd picture is power wire coming out of the dvd/tv unit, and the other pictures is the only wiring installation instruction in the manual.
in the other side of the unit not showing in picture there are for tiny cables tagged for domelights red, yellow, black and white which i think it goes connected to the 3 cables coming out of the dome light wires in the roof of the truck.
anyway if someone can help me get thiss hooked I would appreciate it a whole lot.
thanks

1. Yes run NEW power wire from the battery to power your unit.
2. The 4th picture is the diagram for the tv's domelight to work like your factory one. Test to see what polarity is your dome light. I'm guessing negative because you said you had constant power at the dome light on your post.
3. The RED cable from the tv can be hooked up to the ACCESSORY wire on the truck, using a relay. (simple relay)
