I'm installing a viper alarm with remote start on a 08 Silverado. I'm using a PKUMUX as the bypass. How do I hook up this bypass? It came with no instructions whatsoever. I found an install diagram online but its very vague.
I'm also having trouble finding the ign, accesory and start wires. The wire colors I'm finding do not match up with anything on the diagrams for a 08 Silverado. This is a barebones work truck model with no power anything and a v6 engine if that matters.

Also, from reading other threads on here, people say you need to use relays and resistors on the Ign, Accy, and Start wires. Why do none of thw iring diagrams, including the one on this site mention none of this about relays or resistors? Now I'm even more confused.
I was an installer for years but have not done it since 05. These newer vehicles are more complex it seems with everything done by the computer. I remember back in the the day the only bypass that was needed was if the car had VATS! Then the transponders came out and I usually would use a key in box bypass. Now this 08 Silverado with the PK3 immobilizer is causing me headaches .

these trucks are super easy, just use an extra circle plus key programmed and put in a universal box, ign(pink), acc(brown) power(red/blk at backof fusebox) ground, brake(blue/white at switch) and lights(neg lt blue at switch)

petty straight forward on the install

the bypass will do the resistor stuff

the remote starter all you will have to hook up is the ignition and accessory to vehicle

just use page 7 and 8 of this guide for the bypass

Thats the same thing the diagram said, but none of the wires colors match the diagram on the wires at the key switch.
