'09 civic remote start: pkh34 +?

Pin 3 is pin 3, There are no 2 colours that match in the plug. If in doubt, reference the ignition wire for pin location and colour, then work backwards (process of elimination). The lock and unlock wires will need to be connected at the kick panel. PKH34 does not do anything over the can network.Ted

Thanks for your reply... If I understand it correctly PKH32 communicates over D2D with the RSC and over "single wire" CAN (light green wire pin3). I was asking about silver dots since I do not want to get to the ignition connector directly. I am accessing this wire in a harness where    all wires bundled together - I see only one light green wire in this bundle but it has silver dots. Any way, do you know what wires must be wired to RSC and what wires are just optional. I just want to remote start the car...

depending on your unit you need power, ground, ign, acc, start, locks, bypass wires. pkh34 only sends immobilizer data. you can take the risk and connect to it, or remove the steering shroud and get the wire right at the immobilizer plug to be safe.Ted

Can you suggest the "safest" way to remove this shroud...I removed all 3 screws, the shroud is loose but I do not know which half has to be squeezed? Thank you.

i have always just pulled the lower half downwards with some force, pops right off.Ted

I came across this post while using google to figure out my problem. Hopefully someone can assist. I'm installing a Avital 4103 w/PKH34 on a 2013 Honda Pilot. I have followed the wiring information listed on a different post but I am not able to get the vehicle to start. I'm only hooking up the minimums so I have not hooked up: tailgate, factory arm/disarm, horn. I have the the PKH34 hooked up W2W with the brown going to the blue status output on the 4103 and the violet going to the pink ignition on pilot. When I initiate the Remote Start the engine will crank but will not start. During this process the green key light flashes on the dash. If I insert the key into the ignition and try to Remote Start everything works. This leads me to believe I am having an issue with the PKH34. Any ideas? I have tried to reset the PKH34 by unplugging and plugging back in while holding down button but it doesn't seem to actually reset. Thanks in advance for the help.

Be sure that you have the PKH34 plugged into the correct port. If I remember correctly there are two spots that the plug will fit into on the Avital an only one is correct. Double check that first. Once you have it plugged in correct you can reset and relearn the PKH34. Let me know if that works for you! -Ryan

fixed, I mistakenly had the violet wire from the bypass going to the wrong place. Thanks for the assistance.
