Help!!!  While installing the remote start package, by un-plugging and plugging in harness's, I managed to put the transmission into limp mode with the engine light on!!!

All features of the remote start with keyless entry work great but now I have coded the car.  Exactly what have I done to get the transmission into limp mode????  How do I remedy this???

Many thanxxxx.....

Disconnect the remote starter from the vehicle's starter wire. If it works, then the remote start was not designed properly. I had that problem with a Avantgaurd3. Clifford had a bulletin for the Accord. Used an external relay for the starter and all problems were fixed.

Thank You & A very Happy New Year,

ihad to remove the codes with a scan tool, disconnecting the battery did not produce any results.

further to that, the relay interface was the only way to go as the starter output circuit was the culprit.  In addition to adding the relay, I diode protected the circuit and also fused the starter circuit.

now I have one more glitch,  the bypass kit for the key transponder works great.  however if you try to start the car without opening the doors remotely first, the honda factory alarm goes into panic mode alarm...really good for waking up the neighbours in the morning...thanxxx for any help!!!!  guy

There is a BLUE disarm wire in the driver's door that needs a (-) pulse from the RS unit. Find this wire and pulse a (-) and your problem will be fixed.
