Hey Tri Tam83,

Here's what you need for your Highlander:

                                  12V      white & blu/yel     +  ignition harness

STARTER      BLACK/ white          +  ignition harness
                        IGNITION      black                     +  ignition harness
SECOND IGNITION       BLACK / YELLOW        +  ignition harness
                ACCESSORY       pink                       +  ignition harness
PARKING LIGHTS        green                   +   driver kick panel
PARKING LIGHTS        GREEN/ red             -   headlight switch
HEADLIGHTS        RED / blue                -  headlight switch
DOOR TRIGGER        GREEN/ YELLOW       -  ign. key cyl. illumination  *1
DOME SUPERVISION         comes on with unlock
TRUNK/HATCH PIN          WHITE/ red            -  driver kick panel
HOOD PIN        GREEN/ black         -  top plug, pass side junc box
FCTRY ALARM ARM        arms with lock
FCTRY ALRM DISARM       disarms with unlock
DISARM NO UNLOCK        red to blue         -  steering column     *2
             TACHOMETER       WHITE/ green         28 pin plug, pin 27 @ ECM *3
BRAKE WIRE       GREEN / WHITE         +  brake pedal switch

The doorlocks are a stinkin' big job requiring that you normally go inside the drivers door.  The following colors might work for your Highlander but are principally for a Tacoma.

POWER LOCK           BLACK/ blue             -  pin 11 in 22pin plug front of fusebox

POWER UNLOCK     purple                   -   pin 16 in 22pin plug front of fusebox

NOTE: Some models have an immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed during remote start.

*1 To avoid the dome light delay, go to the Body ECU behind the glove box to get the individual door trigger wires. In the 19 pin plug, the driver door is RED / blue in pin 11 and the rear hatch is WHITE/ red in pin 6. In the 17 pin plug, the front passenger door is RED / blue in pin 16 and the 2 rear door is red in pin 15. Use all wires and diode isolate each.

*2 This is the key sense wire for the ignition switch. The wire changes colors after a junction plug. It is red on the ignition switch side and blue on the other side. Using the status output wire from the remote start to ground this wire will disarm the alarm without unlocking the doors.

*3 The ECM (Engine Control Module) is behind the glove box, it is the module to the left.   toyota highlander - Last Post -- posted image.
