Hello,
Have a new 2009 Buick LaCrosse.
Radio plays fine, but-
The radio keeps leaving the Preset Number that I push.
Plays just fine for about 15-30 minutes, then jumps off of the Preset number.
Always happens wherever I am. Can't correlate it with anything like location, playing with some car control, etc.
It's almost as if it seems the SEEK was pushed.
Doesn't jump to another Preset; jumps to the next station it happens to find.
My Seek button is not on steering wheel; only on radio.
Is there perhaps a "sensitivity adj", or just a
defective radio ? Or,...?   Flaky ground perhaps ?
I'm sure that if and when I take it back to Dealer they will say that they can't duplicate the problem. Not a major problem, but sure is very annoying.
Any thoughts would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Bob

When it jumps to the next station it finds is that stations reception poor or of good quality?

What about the station that you were listening to?  Does it do this when it starts to get staticy(sp?)?

Not for sure, but sounds like some sort of Auto Best station memory......I would read the owners manual and see if I could gather info there.  I personally have never ran into this before new to me.

For Explorin16, et al
No, station that was Preset plays normally and quite clear.
Then, for no discernible reason, it jumps.
Doesn't seem to be static related at all.
No Best Station Monitor (BSM) option as far as I can tell, or described in car manual for radio section, that I can find.
Probably doesn't have one.
BTW: do "most" new car OEM radio's have one of these BSM options these days ?
Thanks again all for help.

I would take it to the dealer and make sure you SHOW them what is happening.........Being a 2009 you should still have a warrenty.Correct?........But i am baffled...........I think the unit needs replacing.
