The basic concept behind door alarms is to create an electrical circuit. In some cases, the circuit is closed when the door is closed. This allows electricity to flow back and forth between the two contact points. When the door is opened, the circuit is broken and the alarm sounds. In other cases, the opening of the door actually closes the circuit, sounding the alarm. security
